Love the quote, Stephen. Agree w. it wholeheartedly. Number of organiz. studies prove what experience has already shown us: that folks do their best work when they have a strong sense of purpose combined w. the space to create / operate reasonably free towards that purpose. These factors actually weigh more heavily in quality of work performed and longevity at a place than external trappings of money, ... People really do thrive when they feel they have room enuf 2 contribute / make a difference.

Love that quote, Stephen. So very true... Profess. studies show us what experience has already proven: that folk do their best work when they're doing what they love, feel suited for, have a sense of purpose about (the engaged & whole pieces), and have the space to contribute (the able to transform part). This sense of meaning in one's work, combined w. the oppty to make a difference, are way more imptnt than external trappings of $$$, etc. to most people. These factors so affect one's sense of satisfaction, which impacts the quality of work performed and produced -- that employers would stand well to focus on how to transform work environments so employees operate from this base. Much of my work this school year focused on how to build school culture / climate for this reason. Hope all's well w. U, UR fam, & Circle. Peace!
